Hear from the Expedia Team at re:Invent 2017

By Rob Meyer (@robfromca) in Cloud on November 7, 2017 | Responses (2)

We are proud to announce this year we have 10 members of our Expedia team sharing their knowledge and learnings at Amazon’s re:Invent 2017 in December. They’ll be covering cloud topics like using AWS database services in high volume environments, using EC2 Systems Manager to build resiliency testing into a continuous integration pipeline, building high performing cloud based teams, and many other interesting topics.

Here’s the full list so far, and we’ll be posting a more detailed teaser for these as the conference date approaches.

Congratulations to the speakers, and we can’t wait to see you all at re:Invent 2017. Find these speakers and many other team members we’re sending to learn, explore, and share their experiences with Amazon’s cloud offerings.

Do you have a link to the CON314: Automating Zero-Downtime Production Cluster Upgrades for Amazon ECS video presentation? I missed this session and would like to check it out. I searched on the AWS Youtube channel but couldn’t find it. Thanks!

    Hi Bim,

Slides for “CON314: Automating Zero-Downtime Production Cluster Upgrades for Amazon ECS” are here: https://www.slideshare.net/mcallana/con314-automating-zerodowntimeproductionclusterupgradesforamazonecs/

AWS didn’t record that session as it was in the “Chalk Talk” format with 15mins slides and 45mins Q&A.

The related session “ENT209: Going Big with Containers: Customer Case Studies of Large-Scale Deployments” covers a wider scope, just without some of the deep-dive details of CON314. Video for that session is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L3l_ZiYRrks

If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to me at mcallanan@expedia.com

    thanks,
